Flyers Sign Blair Betts; Bourdon and Teslak Recalled from Phantoms

01 Oct

The Flyers have finally signed Blair Betts to a one-year deal. This comes as not very surprising news to the Phaithful who have been following the Flyers this off-season. Betts was playing very well for us in the pre-season after being offered a pro try-out. He excels at two things our team can always use help at; face-offs and the penalty kill. His hard work and experience just may dividends for our 3rd and 4th lines this season. He would be a great help to up-and-coming center Daroll Powe.

Also in the news was that 2008 3rd round pick defenseman Marc-Andre Bourdon and free-agent signing Michael Teslak have both been recalled from the Phantoms. I’m not too sure about Teslak just yet, but I am looking forward to see Bourdon in a Flyers uniform in the future so I’m glad he is doing well and making our staff happy. This move is in response to the fact that Tollefsen and Boucher were both placed on the IR. Expect Syvret to be the 6th man tomorrow night, and having Bourdon and Teslak here in case something happens is always a safe move.
