Flyers Gameday 10-8-09: Cote, Asham, and Tollefsen Making their Season Debut

08 Oct

The Flyers official website has confirmed that John Stevens is letting Van Riemsdyk get some extra rest and bringing in Cote and Asham to replace him and Betts on Thursday night’s roster. Danny Syvret is also going to sit out tonight’s game as Ole-Kristian Tollefsen is going to play in his first NHL game since last February where he suffered a season-ending knee injury when he played for Columbus.

Line Probables:

Hartnell-Carter-Briere
Gagne-Richards-Pyorala
Asham-Giroux-Powe
Cote-LaPerriere-Carcillo

Pronger-Carle
Timmonen-Coburn
Tollefsen-Parent

Last night the Penguins got shut out by Phoenix in their own arena 3-0. Don’t expect them to come out softly tonight as they’re playing one of their biggest rivals and would love to start evening the score and taking down the only undefeated team left in the East… your Philadelphia Flyers. Full recap tonight or tomorrow. Go Flyers!
